Stephen is a law librarian and formerly owned a business providing library management for law and accounting firms. He is the current president of the Westwood Homeowners Association.
Stephen and his wife are both Westside natives. While Stephen grew up in Santa Monica, both families have long-standing ties to Westwood. His wife grew up in Westwood. He and his wife now live across the street from the home in which she was raised. He is also a former employee of UCLA.
Stephen’s volunteer activities include the Los Angeles Pre-School Safety Task Force; Anti Defamation League; Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (working with autistic children); World Cup USA ’94; and an ongoing 20 year relationship with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
Stephen is a National Referee with AYSO. He expanded this relationship with AYSO by becoming an instructor, assessor, and administrator in the referee program. He became a National Referee for intercollegiate soccer and a State Referee with the United States Soccer Federation. He has been part of the officiating teams for games at major colleges and universities in Southern California including the NCAA Tournament. He was also the treasurer of the Southern California Soccer Referee Association.
Stephen’s wife is a Certified Public Account and Business Manager. He has 2 sons. One is in charge of emergency preparedness for a large hospital and regional trauma center on the east coast. His other son works in the entertainment industry as an assistant camera person and digital imaging technician. He is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild.
